You want proof that Botox doesn’t just produce smooth, wrinkle-free skin? Then how about 200 new jobs? Yes, that’s what Botox will be producing for Co Mayo in the next four years.

With the surging demand for the anti-wrinkle injectable, the Allergan Pharmaceuticals Ireland has announced that they are investing in the expansion and development of its company site in Westport, Co Mayo. The generous €350-million investment will create around 200 jobs for the area in the next four years.

The company expects the demand for Botox to grow in the next year, especially with its recent approval as a treatment for chronic migraines and neurogenic detrusor overactivity.

Plans for expansion are currently ongoing.
