American Idol judge Simon Cowell says that when he’s not scolding prospective singers, he spends time at the Botox clinic.

The 49-year-old recently admitted that he had Botox to try to fight the wrinkling effect of age. He also mentioned that he was surprised that his fellow The X Factor co-judge Cheryl Cole has yet to try the treatment.

“I’ve had Botox. But then again, pretty much everyone I know has, except Cheryl Cole,” said Cowell in a quote from Contactmusic.

“I got a shock when she was sitting next to me on the panel and she frowned and her forehead actually wrinkled,” narrated Cowell. “I thought, ‘Whoa! I haven’t seen that in a while. A real frown. That’s different.”

He said, “To me, Botox is no more unusual than toothpaste. It works, you do it once a year—who cares?”
