According to a recent study by researchers from Leeds University, a bottle of Deeside Water can significantly reduce wrinkles and slow down other signs of ageing.
The study was conducted on a small test population consisting of women from 18-52 years old through a three-month period. The researchers asked some women to drink a liter of Deeside everyday, while the other group drinks regular taps.
Those who drank the Scottish water were 25 percent more likely to report fewer wrinkles and better skin tone. These findings suggest that Deeside Water can give drinkers a more youthful appearance and a more radiant skin tone.
“Measurements indicated that skin was better hydrated when subjects were drinking Deeside Mineral Water,” said Dr. Richard Bojar, who oversaw the study.
The Leeds University findings were supported by a separate study conducted in Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. Researchers from Queen Margaret found that Deeside water has the capacity to fight free radicals—these are substances that age cells.
“Free radicals are harmful to the body's cells and contribute to the ageing process. Reducing free radicals helps protect cells from damage,” stated Dr. Mary Warnock from Queen Margaret University. “Deeside Mineral Water has some very unusual properties and we know that people have been drinking it for its curative benefits for centuries. The results from these tests are very exciting. They show that something as simple as Deeside Mineral Water, a Scottish product, could be effective at protecting the body and skin from the harmful effects of free radical damage.”
