A dermatologist has been accused of injecting fake Botox to his patients at his West Hollywood clinic, which could’ve caused serious side effects or even death.

According to the US attorney’s office, Dr. David Cary Hansen was arrested last Thursday on 10 counts, including mail fraud and misbranding drugs.

Prosecutors claim that Hansen bought at least a dozen vials of a cheap, unapproved form of Botox, which—when given a high dose—can cause botulism. Hansen is accused of injecting patients with the substance and telling them it was Botox.

If convicted, Hansen can spend up to 60 years in prison and over $600,000 in fines.
