Queensland Premier Anna Bligh has admitted to using Botox. But she has no regrets to admitting, saying “So what? Like most women I care about my appearance, I dye my hair, I do other things, so what?”

When she was asked if her beauty regimen included Botox, the Premier quickly responded with a firm and confident “yes.”

Last October, Queensland became the first state to ban unnecessary cosmetic surgery. And Botox, which is injected in the skin temporarily treat frown lines and brow furrows, is considered a cosmetic procedure. But Bligh asserted that adults can make their own decisions regarding the treatment.

When one of Ms. Bligh’s cabinet colleagues—Education Minister Rob Welford—was asked about Bligh’s confession, he said “This is news to me. I thought she was good looking before it.”

When Mr. Welford was asked if he would ever consider undergoing Botox, he replied, “Of course not. I'm good looking.”
