Doctors are now using Botox injections to combat a condition known as ‘stilettotarsal’—common among high-heel wearers. Symptoms of the said condition include agitating pain coming from the soft tissue on the ball of the foot.

If untreated, stilettotarsal can cause women to stop wearing high-heels. However, research suggests that an injection of Botox can alleviate this painful condition. In Britain, doctors have seen a 20% increase in the number of women who are asking for the treatment (Particularly in the 40s age demographic).

Experts claim that, in time, the treatment will be as common as facelifts and breast enhancements. Known as a fashionable accessory of women’s wardrobes, the high heels aren’t something women will be giving up easily. So doctors are anticipating that this treatment will catch on in the near future.
